Muslim community and the larger Montgomery County community

Montgomery County Muslim Foundation (MCMF) is a grassroots, non-profit, tax exempt, charitable organization in Montgomery County, Maryland

Seniors Program

MCMF Seniors program is designed to provide worthwhile real life assistance to needy, frail and house trapped seniors. Our transportation service provides them independence and opportunity to socialize. Our services enhance the quality of life for needy seniors, particularly for those with language difficulty. These services are free to Montgomery County residents of 62 + years old.

This program has three major sections:

Senior Trips

Goal of this activity is to help with mental well being of seniors who find themselves "trapped" at home. This goal is achieved by providing meaningful activities such as trips to White House, agricultural reserves, National Space Museum, Historic Annapolis, Baltimore harbor, US Capital, Smithsonian, Potomac River and various similar sights.

Social Hour

Every Wednesday we bring seniors to our center to let them have the opportunity to play games, relax and watch TV, read books, listen to lectures series, participate in talks about health and nutrition. They are provided the opportunity to learn basic computer skills including email, web surfing, Skype and other skills to help them stay connected with the outside world, and to enable them to communicate with their family members and friends

Prayer Services

Every Friday, we provide pick and drop service to seniors to take them from their homes to Islamic Center of Maryland and back. This service is provided in the areas of Gaithersburg, Kentland, Montgomery Village, Rockville and Deerwood.
